41st Appalachian Festival at Coney Island
May 8, 9, 10
Many of MVR members set up at this event held at Coney Island,
6201 Kellogg Ave. near Cincinnati, Ohio.
Setup is on May 6. Water and firewood are available.

This is a Celebration of the Appalachian people
and their lifestyles, histories, crafts and music.
Friday, May 7, is school day with as many as 5,000 local students
bussed in to view and interact with the presentations of history.

Hueston Woods Living History Encampment
May 29 and 30
Setup by the Marina, this pre 1840 encampment provides education and entertainment to the people who attend Hueston Woods for the Memorial Day weekend. Demonstrations and sales of the crafts like our ancestors used. We want to provide an opportunity for the children to learn about the crafts their grandparents used for living. The park is located at 6301 Park Office Road College Corner, OH 45003. Please call Bill Combs at 1-937-787-3823 if interested in setting up pre 1840 camp.

You are required to fill out the application
for proper identification for entrance this weekend.
Setup in the primitive camp area and participate
in demonstrations and dancing.
Many MRV members attend this celebration of Native American history, music and dance. Primitive camping is available in pre-1840 style.
Camp fee is $5.00 for primitive camps and may be limited.
Fort Ancient is seven miles southeast of Lebanon, in Warren County, on State Route 350. Exit I-71 at Wilmington Road (exit 36) and take Middleboro Road south to State Route 350, turn right to the park.
Governor Bebb Living History Camp
July 17 and 18
MVR members will setup camp at the log cabin village at Gov. Bebb Park for a weekend of living history. Setup is on July 16. We will create a living village where both settlers and natives have gathered to share their wares and skills. South West Ohio Antique Tractor and Power Association Festival
August 13, 14, 15
Preble County Fairgrounds in Eaton, Ohio.
This is a three day event where MVR will setup their primitive camps to demonstrate their skills. A better location is promised this year than last in towards the middle of the event. This is held at Preble County Fairgrounds in Eaton, Ohio. Water available and firewood will be arranged.

Pre 1840 encampment will be in Hamilton, Ohio, on the grounds of Miami University by Neiland Blvd. The Southern Singers Drum/Mark Banks has agreed to be our drum this year. We strive to have a large pre 1840 camp with all who will come to live and show their skills and wares. A dance circle and Drum will be highlighted. 2009 had battle reenactments on both days. All are welcome to come dance and celebrate life and honor the Native Americans of our area. Water and firewood provided. Porta pots on site. Contact Bill Combs at 937-787-3823. The event, hosted by the Preble County Historical Society, is a living history timeline event combined with the traditional fall farm Festival. Enjoy living history at its finest at the Preble County Historical Center, 7693 Swartsel Road, Eaton, Ohio, located 1 mile NW of Gratis, 6 miles SE of Eaton, accessible off St. Rt. 122.
